HIDE-A-HOSE RETRACTABLE HOSE SYSTEM
SOLVING THE PROBLEM OF STORING THE HOSE
Hide-A-Hose solves the problem of carrying and storing a central vacuum hose. Simply pull out the amount of hose you need and begin vacuuming. When you're finished, the suction from the central vacuum power unit retracts the hose.
Hose lengths are customized according to the size of the floor. Each inlet can cover up to 2300 sq ft. Hide-A-Hose Central Vacuum Systems can be combined with the leading central vacuum power units manufactured today.
NO MORE DRAGGING A HOSE FROM INLET TO INLET
No more carrying, coiling and storing a bulky hose again. Simple cleanups are just that: simple!
Now you can eliminate carrying (or storing) a bulky hose up and down stairs or from room to room. Simply pull out the length of hose needed for the cleaning job, connect your choice of attachment and begin vacuuming. It's that easy. when finished, the system uses the suction from the central vacuum power unit to retract the hose back into the PVC tubing installed within the walls of the home.
Behind each inlet valve, Hide-A-Hose can store up to 50 feet of central vacuum hose in the tubing within the wall. Since longer hoses can be used (one hose can cover up to 2,300 sq ft) Hide-A-Hose can reduce the number of inlets required for whole-house coverage, saving you installation time.
As long as there is access to an attic or crawl space, the Hide-A-Hose Central Vacuum system can be installed in most homes. Your local installer would need to visit your home to make sure it can be done. For existing central vacuum systems, most of the plumbing used by your system will have to be replaced. The reason is that standard central vacuum systems are plumbed with standard 90º's and 45º's are required which allow the hose to travel through the tubing. Hide-A-Hose deals are experts at providing quality, professional installation in a new and existing home to ensure the built-in vacuum system is installed correctly, the first time.
If you are planning to build your dream home in the near future, there will never be a better time to install a Hide-A-Hose Central Vacuum System. Make sure that you alert your builder that you want the Hide-A-Hose system. Installation is best done after plumbing and electrical work is completed, and before insulation is installed. Alert your builder of the qualified Hide-A-Hose dealers in your area that can handle the installation.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Où va le tuyau ?
The Hide-A-Hose Retractable Hose System harnesses the suction from the Power Unit (usually installed in the garage) to retract the hose back into the PVC tubing hidden within the walls, attic, and floor joists, of your home. The hose is retracted directly into the tubing without being coiled or compressed.
Un système Hide-A-Hose peut-il être installé dans une maison existante ?

Pouvez-vous moderniser un système d’aspiration central existant ?
Sometimes. The Hide-A-Hose retractable hose system stores the hose in the PVC tubing using special sweep 90's and 45's. Available attic or crawl space can be used to add these pipe runs, which could then be connected to your existing system. Your local authorized dealer would also evaluate your power unit and tools for use with the Hide-A-Hose system.
We offer two types of hoses. The RapidFlex™ hose was designed for Hide-A-Hose to be used without a cloth cover (hose sock). We also offer a SmartSoc ™ hose that has the hose sock installed. Both hoses have been designed to work specifically with the Hide-A-Hose system. We cannot guarantee the system will work properly with the use of other hose brands.
L'embout du tuyau va-t-il se salir en étant stocké dans le tube ?
Hose socks do pick up dirt from floors while vacuuming. However, with a Hide-A-Hose system the sock actually stays cleaner than a hose sock with a standard central vac system. When the power unit is turned on, the suction in the vacuum tubing removes much of the dust and debris from the sock. A hose stored in a closet does not have this advantage. Also, because there is no wiring in the hose, it is washable: remove the the hose (with sock) from the inlet, wash, dry, and retract back into the inlet.
Comment allumer le bloc d'alimentation ?
The system can be turned on and off with a low voltage switch at each inlet. Hide-A-Hose also offers the option of a wireless handle. With a RF Ready Grip handle, turn your system on or off with the flip of a switch where you stand.
